An artist is able to transport the viewer into a story. This work does that. What surprises me is that the medium is digital, something new for such a clever representation. It also makes me think of my Scottish ancestors in 1860s Manitoba, living through -40 winters in sod houses with their many children and infants. So, perhaps I would call it something like “The Early Days”, or something more profound, to capture the pioneer. I would dearly love to be able to do work like this. . . . I see more practice in my future.
